QuoteBump Privacy Policy
Effective August 10, 2026. QuoteBump is a product of QuoteBump ("QuoteBump," "we," "us"). This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and, importantly, the strict limits on our access to your email. If you have a question, email support@quotebump.com.
The short version: QuoteBump sends follow-up emails on quotes you enter, from your own email account. When you connect Google, we request send-only permission (gmail.send). We cannot read, open, list, download, or delete anything in your inbox. We only send the follow-ups you set up.
1. Information we collect
- Account information you give us: your name, business name, email address, business mailing address, and industry, provided when you sign up.
- Quotes you add: the customer name, customer email, amount, subject, and label for each quote you enter or forward to your chase address, so we can follow up on them for you.
- Sending connection details: when you connect your email to send from, we store the credentials needed to send on your behalf (an OAuth token for Google, or an app password for other providers), encrypted at rest.
- Reply and delivery information: when a customer replies to a follow-up, we receive that reply so we can stop the sequence and alert you. We record whether follow-ups were sent.
- Basic usage and device data and cookies for analytics and to keep you signed in.
2. Google account access, and the limits on it
If you connect a Google account, QuoteBump requests a single scope: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.send. This permission allows one thing only, sending email as you. It does not grant, and we do not have, the ability to read, search, list, open, modify, or delete any message in your Gmail. We use it solely to send the follow-up emails you have set up, for quotes you have entered.
Limited Use disclosure. QuoteBump's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the
Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data for advertising, we do not sell it, we do not transfer it to others except as needed to provide the service or as required by law, and no humans read it except where required for security, to comply with law, or with your explicit consent.
3. How we use your information
- To send the follow-up emails you set up, from your own email address, on the schedule you choose.
- To detect a customer's reply and immediately stop the follow-ups and notify you.
- To show you your quotes, their status, and your results on your dashboard.
- To operate your account, process billing, provide support, and keep the service secure.
4. What we do not do
- We do not read your inbox. The permission we request cannot do that.
- We do not sell your data, your customers' data, or your email content.
- We do not use your data to train advertising or unrelated products.
- We do not email your customers except the specific follow-ups you set up, each of which includes an opt-out.
5. Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers strictly to run QuoteBump, each acting on our instructions: Stripe for payments, Google and email providers for sending, and an email delivery provider for our own account notifications. We do not sell or rent your information to anyone. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the service and its users.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your account and quote data while your account is active. You can delete a quote at any time, and you can ask us to close your account and delete your data by emailing support@quotebump.com. When you disconnect an email account or delete your account, we delete the stored sending credentials. Some records may be retained as required for legal, tax, or security reasons.
7. Security
Sending credentials and access tokens are encrypted at rest. Access is limited and connections are served over HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
8. Your choices
- You can disconnect your email at any time from your dashboard, which revokes our ability to send. You can also revoke access directly in your Google account permissions.
- You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data by emailing us.
- Every follow-up includes a working opt-out for your customers.
9. Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for material changes, notify you by email.
